Personal Response Services

Lifeline
Philips Lifeline is a personal response service that allows the user to summon help any time of the day or night by pressing a Personal Help Button, worn on a wristband or pendant. A trained Personal Response Associate will ensure that help is summoned quickly.

Respite Care

Folkstone Care
This is an organization that provides respite and long term placements for people diagnosed with dementia, alzheimers, or any other complex needs. Residents are placed in family homes with support from the health authorities and other societies and foundations for both social needs and health delivery needs.

VON Canada Caregiver Connect
This site has a myriad of caregiver support information, some specific to diagnoses and also specific with your relationship with the patient. This is a vast array of information including housing, financial, legal as well as day, in-home and overnight respite.

VON offers an Adult Day Program, Overnight Respite and Palliative Respite Care. These programs are located in a state-of-the-art facility in a quiet south Vancouver residential neighbourhood.
