Youth Resiliency Fund

This fund provides up to 5 appointments with a counsellor for youth between the ages of 15 and 29 who reside on Bowen Island. These funds are available to individuals whose lives and opportunities are being compromised as a result of one or more of a number of factors including but not limited to substance use, difficulties with mental health, depression and anxiety, and family conflicts.

The SwimBowen Society’s Cancer Care Fund

Provides financial gifts of up to $2000 for Bowen Island residents in active Cancer treatment.  Recipients may choose to spend their gift on what best suits their personal needs. https://swimbowen.com/home-race/the-fund

Provides financial assistance for medications if patient’s needs assessment determines eligibility. 1-888-939-3333

Veterans Affairs Canada

Eligible veterans and their dependents can be covered financially for items such as glasses, hearing aids, medication, home equipment, home care and other health needs.
